Answering Questions

Professor Minderhout of Seattle University received an award for Washington Professor of the Year.  For the past 14 years,she has taught Biochemestry without lecturing.  Her teaching method centers around answering questions:  she has created workbooks with questions, and the students figure out how to answer them.  I'm not sure that every class could be taught this way, but this method is a version of what we've been learning in our classes throughout the teaching program.  The further I get into the program, and the more teachers I see using this method, the more I can see that group learning and inquiry is one of the more effective teaching methods.  I hope to be able to use it as often as possible.
